Default NEW GUY

Hello Everybody,
I just bought my Honda and "YES". I used to own a Del Sol but this thing goes above and beyond that. I went to a dealer the other day apprehensive about buying this car but one test drive made me crazy about it. I own a yellow 2003. I am looking at upgrading to more horsepower. I am probably less ambitious than most of you. I am looking more for "Your a fool if don't do this modifications". If you gentlemen could post me some must do's it would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jason Price

Just because my ambitions sound a little low please don't think that I am not mechanically inclined. Just to give you an idea of my mechanical ability... I have installed pulley systems, exhaust systems, air intake modifications, regular tuneups. I am not familiar with superchargers unless they are bolt-on. Most of you seem incredibly mechanically inclined. Please understand that I understand quite a bit but probably not at some of the higher levels you guys sometimes speak of.
Thanks,
Jason Price

First let me welcome you to this wonderful site and congrats on your S.
In terms of adding noticable power to this car without going the supercharger/turbo route, it's going to cost a bit of money and may not be what you are looking to spend.

You need to know what your budget is. Then knowing that it would be a lot easier to make recommendations to you. Just remember the car is pretty maxed out in terms of power but you would be able to get 20 whp with a decent budget.
Spending almost the same and going with say a comptech supercharger (bolt on supercharger) will get you about 90-100 whp.

Spend some time reading the threads and you'll get an idea of what people are running and what has worked the best. Most people that have stayed NA (naturally aspirated) started out with some sort of intakeAEM,Injen,comptech,spoon,mugen...)

But before you spend any money on the car modding it, learn to drive it properly and learn its characteristics. Once you've done that then you will know exactly what you need to get it where you want it to be.
Hope this helped you out.

Congrats on the new car and welcome. Since you are new, I would suggest you take a look at all the stickied threads at the top of this forum (and all the forums) and at the top of the "Technical" forum. There you'll find interesting information, some of which will describe what to post and what not to post in certain forums.
ps. Moving this to S2000 Talk.

Welcome, and congratulations on your purchase! I'm kinda in the same shoes as you, in that I haven't been here for long, nor have I had my S for long. I'm also stuck between whether to S/C it (eventually) or be a purist and go the N/A route. However, as S2K_fever mentioned I'm currently spending more time getting to know the car, learning its handling characteristics, and explore its limits safely before I start modifying it. Its probably the best advice anyone could ever give in concern with this car in particular

Welcome! I am relatively new here also but I have really tried to do all the reasonably priced mods and fixes that this forum KICKS ASS in providing.

Of all the mods so far, the Modifry redline shift beeper is the one that REALLY helps keep this car in its power (VTEC) range. Your question was how do you get more power from the car... it already has a TON, but you have to know where it is, this mod keeps you there comfortably. Modifry also has a website with most of his mods completely detailed and pictured.

Everytime I hear that beep I know I'm redlinin' !!

as mentioned above, the mods you do depend on what your goal is...
go or show - show cars often weigh too much to be track cars.

since you seem to be bit interested in both, exhaust would be my first mod. actually second- first i would tighten the throttle cable! simple and cheap mod that gives immediate smiles!!
