Hey everyone, im new to the S2k and was wondering what are the trouble areas in these cars. What to look for because i currently own a cam'd LT1 w/ 110k and i plan on going away to college and basically i want something reliable/fun to replace it with because its starting to get too expensive. I am very fond of the S2k and would like to get to the know the car from the people that know. How is road/wind noise with these cars? How is the audio? Just the basics...

Thanks.

welcome!

start here --> http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...&threadid=79802

audio: 02+ is improved over 00-01, but still lacks oomph. adding a set of rear speakers is a good starting point

wind noise: sure, it's a convertible. keeping the windows up helps, as well as replacing the short stock windscreen with a full-height one.

g' luck!

Camaro.

You will likely find the acceleration lacking after your Camaro, but this car is more fun in all other areas.

Yea its a Camaro Z28 M6 with a mild cam. Dynoing in the 340+ range. I love it and all but age is wearing it away (oil leaks, squeeks and rattles, etc.) I will be going to UCF (university of central florida) which is not notorious for that kind of theft at all. (I dont think). Thanks for the reply's guys and not treating me like a domestic muscleheaded troll. I'm here to learn. BTW here is a pic of my car. Its a custom color "Gunmetal Pearl". It was originally silver.
