Hey guys, Im pretty new to this site, I decided that I want to own a s2000, but it maybe a year or two before I get one, most explainable reason...money lol, I currently own a 00' Prelude, lots of memories with her, but Im at the point where I might or will consider letting her go. Just wondering what year should I really consider looking into in the 00-03 model, I know I probably wont be able to afford the 04-up model unless I get lucky. Im mostly curious about how well the previous model holds up to the new model, 2.0 to 2.2, better torque, Im just being cautious before investing in one, I dont want to think "ahh..I should of waited to get the newer model" that kinna thing. But thanks for responding for the members who do, I plan on learning alot about the s2k, its a different perpective from a Prelude to a s2k, I hope that I can get one pretty soon , thanks again everybody...

0-60 and 1/4 wise there is no diff in any year. You get the 9k redlinein pre 04 models but in 04 you lose the high redline but get a lil more torque before VTEC.

Drive both...

I did, and I preferred the 00-03 platform better, so I bought an '01.

Some people like the '04 better, you just gotta see for yourself.

Get an '04 (maybe '05 by the time you purchase). The only problem you'll have is 9000rpm envy for us that had the original motors.
