Not all CAI's are created equal. Some produce more noticeable improvements than others. Mine makes it such that there is no longer any "bogg" during extremely hot days in city traffic. It also gives a bit of a boost in power in that I can now chirp the tires going into 2nd when I could not before. At the very least, it should help your engine keep the power that hot days would normally rob.

I don't think anybody will care if you put the name down. Also is it a true CAI? We can't help you unless you give us all the details.

ok, its the import development one that schatten had on sale recently. i just don't like to talk negatively about products that i may be missing something on or maybe haven't given enough time to testing yet, or maybe i can't test properly as i'm not in any competition situations with elasped times taken to measure performance gains. My impressions are strictly "seat of the pants".

That type of "CAI" requires you to be at speed to see any sort of gains.

If you do a search you will find that this is not a true CAI. It's a CF duct that helps your car maintain it's capabilities. The reasoning is that it feeds constant outside air to the stock airbox, as opposed to getting it from the engine bay. Gains in performance is negligible, but you won't lose any in hot weather conditions as you would with the stock set-up. The design of the duct also only provides gains at speed. I had this duct and would say for the price it is a good buy. But if you are expecting 10hp, you need to look elsewhere.

thanks for the info, i guess i saw the sale price, the positive comments on the great pricing and just jumped on it not realizing there were real differences in capability. Fortunately, i was not expecting any huge gains so i am not too disappointed but may offer it up 4sale in order to put my bucks into something else.

With stock airbox setup above and k&n air fiter I now chirp tires going into second. Never chirped going into second before this setup.
