Shipping costs are increasing, if you order parts go with the closest supplier to keep costs down.
If you can make your order for a years worth of filters, air/oil/cabin etc. Yes, it's more expensive, but you will save in the long haul on shipping.

West coast supplier:

Mid-west supplier:

East-coast supplier:

From someone who has been around forums since before there were forums (in fact, since before there was an Internet), remember Einstein: "I have never met someone so stupid that I couldn't learn something from them." (slight paraphrase due to failing memory)

We need to read these forums and wade through the chaff to find the wheat (how's that for mixing metaphors?).

Just ignore the a$$holes that are rude; sift through their comments looking for the nuggets. Even a$$holes sometimes have insights.

The nugget that you should glean from this thread is that $139 for an S2000 air filter is outrageous - you can find many better alternatives.

Simple message - ignore all the rest of the BS and glean good stuff from some of the subsequent contributions about appropriate cost and good sources.

(OK, this is the same generic guideline that applies to any online forum. But I have found this forum to be more informative, more educated, and more civil than most.)

Yea, the guy who suggested buying a CAI if you were considering buying a 130$ Air Filter is rude
he is new and you dont have to be so harsh,
hes learning, we all go through that. thats how you got where you are right now

[QUOTE]
Learn some respect

that was pretty rude,
and he didnt say he was going to buy the 130$ filter,
he said "Where is the cheapest place to get an Air Filter for the S2K ?"

people on this form have been here long enough that their air filter needed changing
and wanted to know where people got theirs to save some money which we all could have more of,

no need to be rude,
if you dont have anything helpful or nice keep it to yourself.

People who post S2000 related questions on an S2000 website shouldn't get the jerk treatment... unless its a really dumb question. At any case, why send him to Google, can't he get a better answer here from fellow S2000 owners? Remember guys, this isn't Honda-tech - we actually help each other out around here.

So much drama over an air filter.

with over 10yrs of info in the search engine, there has probably been every question and sharing post known to and for the S2k community. It would be pretty dull if no one posted anymore and the site was active only via the search.
I actually need to change my cabin filter and this post reminded me that it is due and also the links helped me DIY it. Post away newbies as imo there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Autozone didn't carry any oem replacement and the kn filter had to be ordered so I went to rs strauss and they gave me a purolator filter and it was like 14$ or something like that..I was a little skeptical but no problems so far!
