New act pressure plate installed
Hey guys,
Just installed a act pressure plate and oem clutch disk. I noticed that to engage the clutch now I have to press the clutch almost all the way down to the floor. I feel pressure after 1-2 inches pushing the clutch but still takes to it almost getting to the floor to disengage. I did a clutch bleed but it didn't help. Is there a way to adjust this?

Yes, you can adjust the piston.. loosen the locknut on the rod that attaches to the clutch pedal and goes to the firewall, then turn the rod to lower/raise the clutch engagement point. Make sure you leave a bit of play in it so the clutch isn't half engaged all the time.

Ok I did that yesterday night. Does this change the position of where the clutch sits? I loosened the bolt and turned the rod a few times and it seemed to move the position of where the clutch sits. Is that how it works?
Also my friend let me know that the same thing happened to him when he got his new clutch. He has an evo. He said eventually it went lower as it broke in. Could thi also be the problem?
