"NEW" 2004 purchase advice
My first post... I am a car nut like the rest of you... I've had 3 BMW's (including the original E30 M3) and an Audi S4 (twn.turbo). I am looking for a new thrill, a MY 2005-2005 S2000, so that I can enjoy everything these cars have to offer... I have found a NEW 2004 model (0 miles) at my local Honda Dealership. They have 5 or so 2005 S2000's as well.
Questions:
What is Honda's production cycle? (When do the new models hit the dealers?)
The VIN is: ...005613 --- does anyone know when this car was manufactured?
What discount should I expect to receive on a "NEW" 2004 model? It's triple black.
Thanks in advance...

i am working on the '04 vs '05 and didn't find too much difference either. I think an '05 is going for $29,995, and if you cna find an '04, they are maybe $2k less.... m-a-y-b-e.
good luck with the car!!! off curiousity, what sort of numbers are they offering you?

I have not approached the sales staff yet... I'm trying to arm myself with information first... I found a recent post (posted by: Bane Feb 9 2005) reporting that he purchased a new 2004 for $26,500. I'll let you know.

$26.5 is a better price. In the residual value world, even that "new" car has a year of depreciation on it (like 6-7%). 36 month residuals on the S2k are 56%, 48 months is 49% based on ALG.

Do you mean 0 ADDITIONAL miles? I have never seen a new car with 0 miles - if yours does, it makes me a bit suspicious that it may have had something replaced - are you sure it has never been titled? I would run a Carfax to be sure.

The average new s2000 goes for 31K+ If your in ohio www.hardtopguy.com no hassel 30,995 for a new model. Otherwise you could get it for around invoice 29,750 destination chrges included dealer holdback is ~$1400 so if you could get it for 28,350 you got it for cost. I doubt someone will go that low and that 26k sounds like unless the car had some hail damage or something. I got my for $30,250 had to go back and look at the bill. Good luck and try to get it for around 30k with at maximum a 4% or lower APR

there is no way the car has 0 miles. that sounds awfully suspicious.. just my $.02.
at $26.5k I'd buy that in a heartbeat
