Default New '04 S2000...simple questions

I just got my '04S about 2 weeks ago and have just over 1100 miles on it...
I would like to do some simple mods (CAI, exhaust, etc) but don't know what ones give the best bang for the buck.

thanks

You want sound?
Here's a free one: take the air box lid off

Is that safe for the car though?

and yes it is safe for the car.

the sound is awesome, but you'll want a cold air intake for that sound PLUS the power.

I installed a Comptech intake and love the look and sound of it. I don't like the other cold air ones just because they make the engine bay look really empty.

When doing intake, the main consideration is sound IMO. They're all pretty close in terms of performance. (One might give 3hp more than another, but you'll never ever notice that.)

My vote goes to PRM. I've had one for a couple years now and love it.

The two considerations for exhaust are sound and weight. Again, very little power gains from any of them. I have no personal exprience with Spugen but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Single outlet exhausts like J's Racing and Spoon and Amuse are very light but painfully loud. Dual titanium exhausts like Amuse and Mugen are light, sound great, and extremely expensive.
