IMHO the MY03 is the traditional S ; a visceral animal.
The MY04 is a civilized version.
Whatever you choose will be based on your own ideas of what these two renditions are.

The only way to make that decision is to list the single most important things you want in a car, in priority order, and let the chips fall where they may.

IMO, with the prices so close together, it's a no brainer, get the 04. If for nothing else, the resale value will be that much better in the long run. That is the main reason I went with the 04. If the 03 had been discounted more, may have went with it.

Not to mention, the new headlights, wheels, tires, and interior are sweet, if you ask me.

I realy think it comes down to your personality.
ask your self a few questions:
Do you like to red line your rides every chance you get?
Do you care for more torque at lower rpms?
would you modify your 03 to get the torque advantage and a different console?
Would you get defensive every time someone mentions 9000 RPM?
Do you prefer a stiff or a a comfy ride?

Its a tough choice but I think the 03 can be moded to gain the advantages of 04 but you can't modify 04 to gain the advantages of 03. Or can you? Do some research.

Good luck in your decision. As someone said before, you can't go wrong with either of them.

my $0.02 based on my experiences on this board the past few weeks...

buy the 03 if you like many vintage stook owners on this board plan to modify your car - CAI, suspension, wheels, brakes, FI?, etc., you plan to track / auto X your car, and you like to street race.

buy the 04 if you plan on keeping it stock since it already has better daily driver characteristics - more low end torque, roomier interior, smoother suspension, quieter ride, larger wheels/tires.

i've owned an 04 sebring/blk for a month now and as a daily driver i luv it. i don't vtec every day, and when i do i rarely get past 3rd or 4th gear because there really isn't enough room to get to 5th and 6th gears without risking a nice fat speeding ticket.

just my opinion. either way you can't go wrong, as long as you get the fastest color! ha ha ha

i've driven both back to backand i honestly like my 03 better. im a skinny guy and the "tight" interior fits be better. plus im a hardcore honda fan and am a fan of their racecars, the 00-03 simulated a real race car. stiff suspension, high redline, tight interior, aggressive tires, etc, etc. but now that i think about it, the s2000 isn't stiff enough. you should feel the ride in my accord with koni yellow shocks, now that will give you a backache after a 10 minute drive.

as people have said, if you're a bigger guy who needs more room and overall a better daily driver, definately get the 04. if you hate reving your car high to get moving or think that high rpm will hurt the motor, get the 04.

good luck.

I would also go with the '04. Why buy a car that is already a year old.
