I guess I am not the only one in this boat. My S has been a garage queen for the past 4 years since I owned it, never been driven in rain or when there is even a 1% chance of rain . Sadly, with 4 cars on the driveway I am getting push from the wife to let go of the S, I wish I could drive it more but cant due to work etc. I think this year I have driven it 100 miles at most and soon it will go into storage once again for the long winter.

In a nut shell selling my first S2000 was easily one of the worst decisions i ever made. It was then that I TRULY understood how good the S2K really is, and after driving many other "sports cars" how hard it would be to replace. Not only that, if you're into modifying the S2K in your own taste you'll have to start from scratch all over again.

Now with my 2nd S2000 all i want is to create a car as perfect as my first S2K. But with discontinued parts and certain items becoming obsolete its proving to be very frustrating the 2nd time around lol.

Id keep it if finances allow.

If you are thinking so much on it you probably should not sell it. Wait till you are 100% sure.

What's preventing you from driving it to work? I would drive the car more, really don't understand why people don't drive their cars. My S is one of my dailys and I get so much enjoyment from driving it all the time. This isnt a Mclaren F1 that will depreciate when you drive it, it's a decade old Honda. I would definitely not sell it as it is a fantastic car. I have owned many performance cars, some costing upwards of 10x the s and this is the only car I would never sell. Case in point, I sold my GT4 as I thought there was to much overlap between the cars. I always would much rather drive the S around public streets.

I think those of us who enjoy essentially stock low miles cars are subconsciously afraid that we will put a lot of miles on and then yearn for a low miles S and find that it is next to impossible to find one in the not to distant future. I still find myself considering buying a second low miles S to store until I retire and sell my current S which will have a lot of miles on it (by my standards) when the day comes. But I do agree, these cars are not rare museum pieces. Not yet anyway.

Guess I'm lost what enjoyment does a low mile car bring? Why are you afraid to put miles on the car? By not driving the car you are actually increasing your chances for problems. The car is meant to be driven regularly and having all the fluids pushing through the engine and lubricating all the parts. Just look in the Ferrari world all the problem cars are the low mileage garage queens and the higher mileage cars are much more reliable. Only thing I can think of is for re-sale but we are only talking a couple thousand at most here. If your doing it for collector status I really don't see any real profit gain until maybe your grand children's time if even then.

My car has 104k miles on it, I'm not afraid on putting miles on.

I choose not to drive it to work because my 17 mile commute each way normally consist of me sitting in traffic for a good hour, whether going to work or coming home. S2000 just isnt meant for sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. My parking situation at work consist of street parking, 4-5 blocks away. So if my car was stolen, broken into, or vandalized, I would never know until I got off work.

I have already had one incident at work where I got off to find my driver side window pried down and some nice hand prints all over the glass

The non driver comment wasn't directed to you, more of just a general statement. Yea in your parking case I probably wouldn't drive the S to work all the time.

Beauty and reliability.
Don't worry - I drive my low miles car almost every day. I own it to drive it - and also to tinker with it.
