Default need your advice

i just recently started working at a honda dealership and lately we've had a reoccuring customer. he say my S but didnt know if it was for sale or not due to it not having any tags. after about the 2nd time he asked around the dealership to see who owned it and if they were interested in selling it. apparently he really wants my car AS IS meaning i can't part it out. if i am able to get a decent amount of money for it, i will go ahead and flip that money for a new 08. should i do this or not?

my car as it stands
00 gpw with 56xxxmiles
oem front lip
DIY vented hood
gutted air box
k&n filter
AUT cooling plate
trunk spoiler
JDM red H badges
koni yellow ground control set up
half shaft spacers
ap2 v1 wheels
t1-r test pipe
TSX exhaust tips
removed quarter panel badges
key hole deletes

i also recently purchased a oem glass soft top monday but i have yet to install it. the exterior and interior are in prestine condtion (outisde of under the lip where its scrapped to hell)

if i were to let it go, what would be a good price to release it for?

i just need some outside input so all advice is welcome.

SICKNESS! your car's hella clean, dont know about what price it'll fetch ya but if you could get a decent amount of money outta it then why not upgrade to a newer car?

btw i'm LOVING your license plate... but hold on... are you VA guys supposed to have front license plates?

You've put a lot of work into your car, so why would you want an 08? If you want the different engine, vsa, dbw, etc, or just a newer S, then I'd consider it, but otherwise, its the same car, so you'd have to look at the stock price of a 2000 S, then what you think your mods are worth, and come up with a price.

Tough decision....

You have a good thing going there and a rare color combo.

Do the math on your mods.... deduct about 35%-45% of the cost then add that value to your asking price.

If he takes it... it's a good deal for you if you can afford the difference in either out of pocket or new car payments.

Not often you find people who want a car "As Is" so this might be an opportunity to take advantage of his "gotta have it" impulse.

yea it is a tough decision for me b\c i have put alot of work in this car, not just modifying (which hasent been alot) but taking care of it. every problem that comes with the 00-01's i have taken care off. the last bit being to replace and upgrade the top. and if he does offer me soemthing good i'd just buy another gpw s.

Unless this potential buyer has no idea about the market for s2000's, you probably won't get over $16,500. It's up to you but that would make it about $14,000 to get an 08 and that doesn't seem worth it to me.
