Question In need of some support

Hey, y'all. Few of you may recall, but I purchased my 05 Silverstone less than a week ago. Since, then I've absolutely loved every second I have been able to spend behind the wheel of this car. The break-in has been good so far. No weird noises, smells, or burnt oil. The S2k has met and exceeded all that I have expected from it thus far. And this is considering that I haven't driven her over 70mph or over 5.5krpm, which brings me to my problem. I'm dying guys! The temptation to hit VTEC is destroying me! With each upshift, she's whispering to me, "cmon you pansy. hit it! HIT IT!" "No!" I cry, "It's too soon, baby!"

Argh, I'm about 25 miles from hitting 600 miles on the odometer, though I've been advised to wait til the 1000 mark til I start thashing her about. I just wanted to share, and see how the rest of y'all got through this difficult time. I'm literally bouncing off the walls.

In love and VTEC,

john

hang in there bro. you wanna make it quicker drive it to a long road trip or something. like 50mi place. and back then cruise on at night and stuff.
hang in there it will all be worth it without any worry.

i say do it. there is no mechanism in the car that will make it explode if u do it now. i mean damn, you are close enough. i say take it to redline sparingly till 1k miles. then u can do it at every stoplight if u want. but for now just hit it on straight onramps or something, or an empty street.

enjoy!

Find a beautiful woman fast. Get it out of your system and then go back to break-in driving.

600 is plenty, just take it easy until 1000, but that doesn't mean "never Vtec it".
