Oh my god, it's a car! Use it!

Latches wearing out... sure it's happened, one guys car just caught fire, maybe you shouldn't drive at all. Airplanes crash, so don't fly. Don't shave either, razors get dull with use and then you'll have to buy a new one.

[QUOTE=Saki GT,Aug 20 2008, 11:52 AM] I don't latch it, if I even raise the top, if I'm just going in somewhere.

Is that a serious post?

You went way too far overboard. I'm not talking about some avoiding revving past 6k RPM to stop wearing the engine, I'm talking about not clipping them just to unclip them 5 minutes later. It's a small step that has no effect on anything else except for potentially a postive one in avoiding unnecessary wear and tear.

Let me ask you a question, do you jump in your car and mash the gas until you bang in to the cold-temp limiter before the engine is warmed up? Why wouldn't you? I mean, once it's warm you'll be fine and it'll rev up to redline anyway. Honestly, it's a car, use it!

Weird response, 3ngin33r1, not what I would've expected from you.
