need to re-clip roof when closing it?
just wondering....does the roof NEED to be reclipped when parking the car? at work or home (both underground parking) ...i tend to park roof open .... but if i run into a bank or something where i'll be gone more than 10 minutes and it's not underground i'd like to close it
do i need to lock the clips everytime it's closed if i'm going to reopen it the moment i get in?

It's not the time, the point is to avoid wearing a part out - in my case, at least.

The reason I don't latch it every time (if raise the top for shade or in case of rain in the few minutes I'm inside) is that I don't want to wear out the latches. I've heard of peoples' latches no longer holding themselves up after repeated use and I don't want to hurt the mechanism.

Latches wearing out... sure it's happened, one guys car just caught fire, maybe you shouldn't drive at all. Airplanes crash, so don't fly. Don't shave either, razors get dull with use and then you'll have to buy a new one.

I don't latch it if I know the top is going down the next time I drive it. However, I did forget to latch it one time but I realized it before I pulled out of the neighborhood. No damage done but I will def be more careful.
