Default Need a new master key!

Hey guys, when I purchased my vehicle, all they had was a spare key. They said the original owners claimed to loose the key, and after trying to get the dealer to cover the charges, they said they cant because they made no profit on the deal . anyways, besides going to a honda dealership, is tehre anywhere else i can get a s2000 key? referring to the key itself, is there anywhere i can get it cheaper, and then take it to get programmed? please let me know! ( i want the cool s2000 key!)

You can order the key from a number of online dealers (i.e. www.collegehillshondaparts.com). However, you will still need to have it programmed, which can range from free to 100.00 at dealers, as well as cut which is usually only a few dollars.

It sucks- the keys are $$. I presume you want the "nice" key as well. Otherwise, the key itself is only a few dollars plus the programming and cut.

I only got one key too. but not the valet one. Any one know if i could get a new one then switch the transponders and have it cut for cheaper? This way I can use the new key and keep the old if I lock the key inside or something. Also if i lose the only coded key I assume i can still get a new one re-programmed.

Man your stealership sucks. When I got my S, they gave me 1 master key (the nice one) and 2 spare keys along with the remotes. 3 keys, 3 remotes total.
