What is the process that i need to go through to get a new one and how much $$$?
All of my papers are in the secret compartment and i am locked out. Will Honda actually make me a new key with just a drivers liscense?

 

you dont keep the title in the car do you? or you can go get a new registration

 

If you bought from a dealer, go there. When I bought my S it only had one key that was worn, so when they tried to trace it the new one was a little off. Anyhow, they can type your VIN into their key machine & out pops a brand new key. Mine was free so I don't know about price.

i had to get an extra one last week and my dealership charged me $38 for cutting and porgraming the key (i guess they program the chip inside the key)

 

and if you are lucky they'll use a honda blank. concord honda used a third party, ILCO branded blank, they said something about having to charge more for programming if it were a honda blank?

 

All my Honda dealership needed was the VIN number... but I get my car serviced there so they know me. They used Honda blanks and I got two new keys made for $25 each...

And how did you guys get it for $30-$40.
