Default Need help: rear drive shaft yoke grease leak.

My 2000 S has a grease leak in the seal where the drive shaft meets the differential. My Honda mechanic says that Honda says there is no replacement seal and the whole drive shaft will have to be replaced -- $1,000. He says to look for a aftermarket drive shaft or seal kit, preferably the latter. Can anyone help?

Check with Cannon Engineering. 10921 Chandler Blvd.
No. Hollywood. 818-508-0123. If anyone can fix it, they can.

PM Wesmaster. I believe he's had some driveshaft experiences.

$1k? He wants to replace the left and right shaft? Why?

MSRP on left or right is $542.93 each.
I'm sure hardtopguy has them cheaper. Not sure how much labor would be with your mechanic though.

hey raptor, just curious what you did to fix this problem.

my prob shaft is leaking oil as well, and i don't want to shell out $1K in parts alone for a new prop shaft.

were you able to find a seal repair kit?
