NEED HELP! PLEASE READ...
I recently bought a front bumper and a rear bumper for my S. I paid $250 for the fright shipping and I stated that the total weight of the bumpers including the box and the bubblewrap would be 30 lbs. (I figured it cannot be any more since they are plastic). Anyways, I got my bumpers with no damages on them. Around 10 days after I received them, I saw a credit card charge on my statement for $444.80 from the same company on top of the $250 I paid them. I called them and asked them what the charge is for and I was told that when they re-weighted my front and rear bumper, it came out 110 lbs on their scale . And since I signed the forms they faxed me before, they were allowed to charge me the extra costs. They told me that I need A PAPER WITH A HONDA HEADING THAT STATES THE MATERIAL AND THE WEIGHT OF BOTH THE FRONT AND THE REAR BUMPERS. ANY DEALERSHIP IS FINE.
Someone please help, these people are trying to rob me...
If you work for a Honda Dealership, or know some parts guy at Honda that can help me out, please let me know.
PS: I already called American Honda but they said they don't have the numbers availiable and they have to start an investigation which will take 4-6 weeks??

No way that paint weighs that much. Go to www.handa-accessories.com and see if they can help you out.

Maybe the company doing the shipping has to up the charge, even though they're light, due to the size of the package. Hardtopguy.com has something on their big, light-weight items about that very thing.

the 110lbs could be the dimensional weight of the box. u cant send a 1 pound box that is huge, they charge by the pound or by the size of the box which ever cost more. good luck!

no no no. what they did was multiply the dimensions of the box with the weight. the price wasn't just related to the size. the $444.80 extra they charged is because of the 80 lbs extra. Not because of the size...

I actually think you could turn this around on them for making an unauthorized transaction on your card for a value different then the amount you signed for. Did the piece of paper you signed have the lower originally quoted charge on it?

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. Doesn't matter what you signed $444 more dollars for a few extra pounds is insane. Shipping on the whole damn car is only $500.
