NAIL IN REAR TIRE!!! CAN I PLUG IT OR SHOULD I CHANGE THE TIRE???

i heard that these s 02's are special tires that shouldnt be plugged b/c it will effect performance! is it b.s. or what!
the tire is not flat but i worry when i drive on it!

as long as the nail isn't in the sidewall, you should be able to plug it. personally i would get it patched from the inside. if you do get a new tire, get a road hazard warranty on it.

I would patch it from the inside and, unless the sidewall was affected, not worry about it. Plus, at least for a week or two, that is your only option since OEM SO-2's are back-ordered nation wide. Plus, with the wear rate of these tires, it won't be that long before you replace it.

Patch it from the inside as described above. Also make sure that none of the belts have been damaged. If they have, replace the tire.

It also depends on how you are going to use the car. If you are doing track or autocross events or take ramps at the limit, it would probably be safer to just replace the tire.

I would never 'PLUG' a tire. Only use a patch. The patch will not hinder performance at all.

Patch, or replace ONLY.

Plugs should not be used for high performance tires.
