Mysterious Dash button marking
#1
For the life of me, I can't figure out what the marking next to interior light level adjust buttons (on the left) is referring to. It has what appears to be a analog gauge icon and the world 'clear' (I think its clear or reset) next to it.
Maybe its obvious and I'm just missing it, but can someone tell me what this is supposed to clear? The function I know it is responsible for is increasing the brightness of the interior lights. If you hold it in, the lights go to the highest intensity. Is this the elusive 'clear' that they are talking about?

It's "reset", not "clear".
When you turn on the headlights, the car dims the dash lights. This makes it hard to read during daytime driving. By pressing and holding the "+" button (marked "reset"), the dash lights would then go to the highest intensity, as you mentioned. If you press the "+" again, it resets itself to the original (dimmed) intensity.

Do the lights dim back down if you turn the headlights off? If this was the case... I'm assuming you need to keep holding that button anytime you want the brighter light?

Hey enthralled, guess what?
- I actually was able to read when the last post was submitted... and through basic subtraction I'm sure I could have came to the realization that the thread ended over 8 years ago.
It so happens that I don't really care when the thread ended... I more so care about if the car has memory for this. Perhaps a yes or no would have been less time consuming than being a smart ass.
