Default MyRace Head

Well guys the motor project is almost ready to put together, still waiting on the motor from ERL Performance. Today i did get my head back from Joe Alaniz. Let me just tell you the work is TOP NOTCH. I will take some pictures of the head and post them when i can. What was done is

*
Complete visual inspection of complete head.
*
Check all surfaces for straightness.
*
Complete disassembly.
*
Inspect all valvetrain parts for wear.
*
Remove all studs and lap all surfaces.
*
Degrease and clean head of oils.
*
Baseline flow bench test.
*
Full Competition port and polish head.
*
Deshroud, polish and debur all chambers.
*
Install oversize seats on intake side.
*
Install oversize valves on intake and exhaust.
*
Competition valve job.
*
Resurface and hand lap head to customer specs, or up to .030 material removal.
*
Final flow test with data sheet.
*
Reassemble complete head. Final CC check.
*
Includes new valve seals.

I did .5mm oversized on the intake and a full 1mm on the exhuast in black nitride valves. Also bronze valve guides,Ti retainers and valve springs were used. The port work is amazing and I am very very impressive with the work. Overall the head cost me 2300 in work but its going to be well worth it esp with a full race short block thats going in from ERL. I will post pics soon and keep everyone updated, the car is about to breath life!!

Turn around was about 2 weeks or so. It was alot more than the P&P its a full race head . Alot of work was done and it was a good turn around. Like i said the work is top notch and im picky so it says alot. The motor should be ready soon im just waiting on the pistons to come back from being coated ( Plan on running 100-200shot of n20). Sleeved block 89mm bore,Crower rods, 12.0:1 Pistons ,ARP kit . Have the fuel system, 650cc RC,AEM Fpr,walbro pump, and of course the AEM EMS. Still trying to figure out which header to use. Im really stuck on the J's Header with a T1R 70mm exhuast. Would love the J's or Amuse Ti but just dont wana spend the money on it right now, the rest of the project took it's toll for now. I hope to see around 260-270whp with some good fuel and timing. Run 100shot on pump gas and 200 on race fuel. 400whp on nitrous should be a pretty good setup and if I get more than thats even better. Ill post pics as soon as I can, i know everyone wants to see the fine work done my Alaniz. I'll keep everyone updated.
