Bringing this back...I have a 00' with hardtop and defroster switch for the hardtop where the "ashtray" goes. How can I retrofit this defroster swtich to work in my MY00?

Nope...I assume I'll have to just cut the harness and wire it myself...not hard but I haven't bothered to get a 06 console yet

My problem with switching is hardtop defroster is a push on/push off , the new 06 console switches are 'momentary'. Any ideas how to oversome this?

Has anyone relocated their hardtop switches to a newer dash switch? It would be the same principle.
