In the Honda S2000 brochure it shows the interiors of various S2000's and some come with titanium polished audio and climate control panels... whereas my panels (to the left + right of steering wheel) are all black? What's up with this? I don't think its interior specific because the brochure shows both variations in black/red leather interior. Did I get gipped?

Here's the pictures from hondacars.com:

Without the titanium polish...

And with it:

The titanium finish seems to be a Honda "MODULO" option in Japan, but not here in the states.... Hrm, we should talk to honda about false advertisement if this is such the case with the titanium panels, does anyone with a MY04 have titanium polished panels?

If the car was from Japan wouldn't the steering wheel be on the right?

I agree... looks like the angle of the lights is giving the plastic a sheen.

You're seeing the effects of the lighting setup. The audio and climate control panels are NOT titanium... they just start looking that way in the 2nd pic because of the reflected light.

Take a close look at the first pic, and it's pretty clear to me that they're just the usual black plastic.

Keep in mind that those pics almost certainly are touched up. Among other things my company does product photography for automakers and more or less every picture you see in a brochure has been digitally modified extensively, particularly to improve the lighting.

I can confirm that my 02 gt had silver instead of the black plastic so not it is not the lights reflecting. When I saw the new 04 in the showroom it was black but I am told that it also comes in silver. Not sure what color my car will arive with.
