Default MY04 Headrest Speakers in MY00-MY03?

I would love to have these speakers. Is it possible to put them in the MY00-MY03 S2000's? Are the seats different in the MY04's?

I hope they are compatable. Headrest speakers seem like a good investment to make.

i asked the dealership earlier today while getting my complimentary oil change(first one) about the price of the headrest speakers. Guy went to the back, came back and told me

Check out the S-Pods. Developed by a member of S2ki. You can find all the details in the "Audio System" thread in my sig:

I would suggest waiting until someone comes on here that actually OWNS an '04, until then, it's all speculation.

why wouldn't they. the roll bar shapes are no different on a my 04. the only thing i would assume you would have to do would be wiring.

I'd like to say - think about headrest speakers twice before you'd shell $ for them, especially if $499 would be the case. I was experimenting with this setup heavily and was driving with HR speakers for about 6 months. While the sound will get really personal touch and you could hear the details like never before beware (!) - when listneing to music loud you WILL get headache. It's just too close to head and from the back. At least this was my experience listening to AC/DC.

I went to in-dash speakers/ back speakers setup since and am way more satisfied. The same clarity, way more bass and way better soundstage.

PLUS, when you have one speaker THAT close to your ears, how will you ever get stereo? If you balance it out so that you can hear the other speaker, you'll blow your passenger's ears out.

My plan is to use the S-Pods as center channel speakers for DVD playback only, the rest of the time they'll be wind blockers.
