Default MY04 center console retro-fit to 00-03?

Talking about entire console, from elbow rest to new stereo cover. Does anyone know (or have a good guess) as to price, complexity, time required, or is it even possible?
Thanks - Mike

Well, i know on the 00-03 the center console is very easy to take off. And the radio door is also a snap (literally) to take off. As far as if it will fit or not...it looks like it should with maybe some minor modifications. the only thing that is different is the position of the roof and hazard buttons, which should still plug right in since the wires are not in a fixed position.

I agree.. The center console looks like it should fit. Keep in mind that the car companies, when doing a small face lift, tend to just change the exterior parts. Most parts should be interchangeable. I'm looking foward to the tail lights, I love LEDs..

I personally like the MY00-03 taillights...almsot skyline like!

As for the front and rear bumbers and exhaust tips....thats a different story! I want those!

I'm interested in what the MY04 "bulbs" are like. Whether or not they have the same resistance as a regular bulb. It would be cool if they were "drop in" replacements for the bulbs on the earlier models.

very good point rworne....that would be interesting to find out. I know there are a few people who have done led lights for the rear and side markers on 00-03 models. If you can find those, and compare to the factory specs on the 04, it shouldnt be a problem if they are the same.

Well I am concerned because the resistance of a series of LEDs is way less than that of an incandescent bulb. Problems already showing up with the MY00-03s is that if you replace the lights with LEDs the turn signal indicators malfunction (go too fast). The other problem is that the LEDs are too dim. If the replacements have built-in resistors, they might be the way to go. I don't think brightness is an issue here. Otherwise, the internal electrical system might only be able to handle the considerably lower current of the LEDs.

The other problem is that the LEDs might be a different unique socket. This would prevent people from replacing the LEDs with a regular bulb and burning something up.

The only real problem is how much these puppies are going to cost. Honda isn't going to get people coming in every year or so to spend $5.00+ for a single $0.30 bulb, so I would think that these would be major bucks. It would really suck to get a set and see that they don't work.

good. point. When the 04's come in to my local dealership i will talk to the parts guy (he is a close friend of mine) and see if he can either compare a set of 00-03 bulbs and 04 bulbs, or just give me a pair of 04 bulbs to try in my car!
