[QUOTE=mc2,Apr 14 2006, 03:20 PM] Thanks. This is exactly the type of post i was looking for.
As a matter of fact, everytime i open the door when i go to the car, the door chime DOES go off. I assumed it was a feature of the car.
For the rest of you guys, thanks for your sense of humor

Well before you assume there is a problem with the car maybe it would be helpful to know if is has a Honda alarm?
Dude if there is nothing wrong with your car then it's fine. Honda's not going to replace things things on it if they work NOW regardless if somebody else had a problem or not. If you have a Honda alarm then it will chime when you unlock it and open the door. Roll down the windows, lock it with the remote and reach in and open the door from the inside. If the alarm goes off you have an alarm.
The warranty covers things that break in the first 3 years or 36K miles. If they aren't broke they aren't going to fix them. The point is nothing magical is going to happen in it's 37th month or the 38th or any time after that that you can do anything about if it works in the 35th month. Mine is 6+ years old and it works as well as it did when it was 3 aside from things just plain wearing out. I haven't even had to change a lightbulb. I have the original wiper blades and I think the washer fluid is the same fill that came from the dealer because I don't recall ever putting more in.
Relax man, the car is good.

[QUOTE=clawhammer,Apr 14 2006, 05:44 AM] You need to sell the car RIGHT NOW. When the warranty expires the engine throws a rod, the transmission will grind 2nd and 5th, the brakes will only work 50% of the time, and your suspension will blow all at the same time.[QUOTE]
Woops! I think you meant to post this on the Vette Forum.

and i'm not asking for opinions on the warranty or things that are broken, but i just want to ask if there's anything i need to pay special attention to....
and if there's something you've noticed wrong on your car i can check it out on mine too because maybe i overlooked it... Maybe there are already some things that are having problems which i havent noticed yet. I undersatnd nothing will magically break or start falling apart the day after the warranty, and that wasnt the purpose of the post really..
Assuming i dont have an alarm, i would have never known that chime was a problem but now i do..
but i'm glad you mentioned the alarm thing also. I'll also check that out.

2. Check your headlights for blistering (on the black area right under the HID's)
The car only has 5,100 miles on it...
What did you specifically tell the dealer? I haven't cleared my headlights (yet) but I imagine I won't be able to claim the blistering after I do...
Thanks
