MY00 Story
Hello All,
After lurking for over two years, I pulled the trigger on a MY00 S2K with 22,1xx miles from the original owner for $15,500. IMO I feel as if I found a good deal, mainly because to find a mint garage queen first model year for the price I paid was well worth it. Silverstone with Black leather interior, obviously the most common color but also one of my favorite color combos.
Here is my story:
I'm 19 years old and have sacrificed my last three summers landscaping in order to be able to purchase the vehicle. After finally getting the funds together, I made the road trip from Philadelphia to Hartford, CT to pick up the vehicle. I learned a lot about driving the S and the cars tendencies and to me there is no better stress reliever then hoping into my car after a long day of work. I wanted to reflect and remind those on our forum of just how lucky we are to own such wonderfully built vehicles. I get numerous compliments from the Trucker at a red light at 1 AM to an older gentlemen at the Wal-Mart parking lot earlier today. Always remember, being able to have a sportscar, that while I love is very impractical, is a blessing and should be treated with the respect it deserves. I have had my fun but I know that I would much rather respect the vehicle for what it is then not having the vehicle for improperly using it.
Conclusion:
It's been a dream come true, the original owner drove this car a mere 2,100 miles a year and it never sat anywhere besides an enclosed garage. In 3 and half weeks of ownership I have over 1,700 miles on the car and unfortunately cannot park the car in a garage during the week. Either way, I'm sure they would be rolling over knowing their old investment car that was meant to be saved is now daily driven (will be garage kept throughout the winter) by me, and I will enjoy every mile they didn't for as long as I am capable of having the car (which the way it seems will be a long time) until I get another one .
Love the story Hate the story feedback is always welcomed and enjoyed

I remember my first S Nothing beats the feeling of owning your first S2000 and the lessons that come with it. Drive her gently until you get a feel for it, and try some auto crossing to really see what she's capable of.
