Default my00 never change brake pads...yet...

i have a 00 with 52000miles on it and have never changed the brake pads or rotors ever!! is that normal?? my mechanics said that the pads are still good for another 5000miles maybe. they don't make any noise, just the rotors are a little uneven.

Miles have nothing to do with it.. it is brake applications. A dedicated highway car can go >200K and not need brakes (or a clutch).

I was on the wear indicators for my pads at 29k. But I also park on the third story of a parking garage at work, I think the frequent trips down the ramps don't help me much.
