Just try being a bad passenger.
Press on the imaginary brake pedal, call out "clear" at every intersection, etc.
It works for me.

My lady used to ask to drive the car all the time, and since it's so user friendly to any average driver who can drive stick shift, I didn't mind. She shifted it like a normal car, usually below 4500 rpms. When I got the OEM lip for it, I warned her about how it's much easier to scrape now, so she's now afraid to drive it, knowing I'll get pissed if she scrapes it. Bullet dodged!!
