The stock floormat on the '00 & '01 only have one peg hole to hold them in. EVERYTIME i get in my car I have to straighten the floor mat. Its already too late tho, the floor mat has molded to the twisted position now. Do the '02's have two pegs? If so, I wonder if I brought it to the dealer and complaiend if they'd give me the '02 setup so I could convert it to two pegs and that would hold the mat in position properly.

yes, the 'o2 does have two pegs and having owned both an '01 and now an '02, i can atest to the difference being both noticable and worthwhile.

 

Check out the Muz mats or Rick's mats, they are cheaper than a new car.

Easy to make another post and install it. Then buy a grommet kit at Home Depot, put another hole in carpet, install grommet and you are done. Total cost about $15.

 

Yes, the '02 has one on each side of the front.

 

I have the same problem with my '00 S2K. The side without the peg always moves forward and I end up straightening it out multiple times a day. I figure I'll just save up for Muz mats (I want red mats anyways).

Jason B, you're carpeting is nice and clean. Do the '02's come stock with that dead pedal? Or did you purchase that through an aftermarket retailer? And what is that pad next to your gas pedal?
