Default My stitching is pink...

I always thought that the '08 and '09's had red stitching on black interiors from what I've read on this forum, but the stitching on my car is more of an STi-esque purple/pink... Is my stitching faded or something or are they all like this? Kinda hard to convince people the S2000 isn't a girl's car when you show them the inside with your pink stitching .

sounds like its faded to me. best bet would be to find a dealer who has a brande new S with "red" stitching and go compare. i doubt the dealer you purchased it from will do anything though.

I'll try to get a pic up soon. I seriously hope it's not any sort of fade or defect, the car is only a week old..

Edit:

Found this pic of one on Ebay, it looks very similar. From a distance it is reddish looking but up close it's definitely more of a pink color.

Mine is an 08 in Chicane Silver with the Red/Black seat combination rather than your all black seats. Other than that, the seats should be identical. My stitching on the black surfaces is as red as the leather on the seating surfaces. It looks like a perfect match color wise.

I can't believe Honda would use different stitching on the all black seats. It sounds like you may have a defect. Are you eyeballing it in sunlight? Watch out for light from compact flourescent bulbs. They can cause some severe color distortion. Same with sodium vapor lamps. And seriously, you're not color blind are you? Get a few other people to render an opinion.

If you can't get Honda to fix it, perhaps you can sell it to your girlfriend or drive it in the gay pride parade.

Sorry, that was just mean.

The stitching does look pink in the picture you posted. IMHO it is hardly a big deal... pink or red both look fine with black.
