Default My soft top worn out already!

So, mine is brand spanking new 05, i always garage my baby and properly care her.
However today, i discovered that one of bracket on right side, scratched rag top over and over and developed a slight hole which eventually going to get bigger and bigger.

I ran to honda dealer to make an appointment but service guy said that i would have to talk to disctrict manager first to get a ok sign that it's normal wear and get covered by warantee.

Is anyone familiar with this kind of situation? if so, what happened?

I'm just worried a little that they may not honor my warantee.

By the way, my car is leased.

Thanks in advance.

This should be replaced under the factory waranty if it was caused by the mechanism.
