My Seats Were Stolen, help with insurace..

I know its crazy.... Wish I had tried to do that with my bank. I could have bought a hard top and some brides, and had TONS leftover.....
But the 06 seats are definitely trickier. The punks who took my seats also cut the sensor wires for the airbags to the seats, resulting in needing new wires etc.., also needed to recalibrate the new sensors.

Something similar happened to a buddy of mine.... Progressive tried to make him take it to one of their shops. He told them no and that he wanted to take it to one of his choice. Progressive will call a dealer and get a quote for new seats. ( They have to be bought in parts then assembled at the dealer. Very Expensive ) Then send you the check with your name and the body shops name on it. So you can either buy OEM seats or after market seats. Progressive tried to give him a bunch of shit so get ready to be pissed for a day or two. haha. hopefully not though. GL man.
Progressive = Crap!!!

You can still do what you want, but you have to be a tricky SOB to do it. My top was slashed, driver's seat slashed, door keyed, console pad, door insert, and handle slashed and shift knob stolen. Honda dealership gave me a quote of 7500. My insurance sent out this guy and got a quote from a body shop 30-40 miles away from my house, and found used parts online and got it down to 1500 so they sent me a check for 1000 (minus my deductible of 500).
I'm now in the middle of talking to the dealership - telling them that I "might" go with a hardtop and want them to send the quote to fix the softtop (3500 I think) to my insurance so they'll send me and my bank another check. They're going to want to send it to the shop, but I have to insist that my bank wants to deal with it. You have to be a sneaky bastard if you want to get around their BS.
I'm not with Progressive anymore for reference - I'm with someone much cheaper and much worse to deal with.

I recommend the seat locks personally, and I do NOT recommend Progressive's way of fixing cars. My brother had a ton of problems when someone hit him.

Someone needs to set a group buy up... Count me in! BTW how many locks are needed per seat?
