They need to etch the VIN in the bottom of the seats. The OEM seats are a fortune. You can buy some nice aftermarket seats for less.

Progressive should be able to pay you directly for the damages and you can replace the seats and fix the window on your own. Please post up how much they give you for the seats. Im curious as I have heard the S2k seats cost insane amounts of money.
read my post - my seats were stolen last week.
3K per seat.
1200 for a new top and 1100 for the door that they kicked in.

8600 total

Don't let them take it to their repair shop. They did that with my old car and someone from the shop came to my apartment 2 weeks later and stole my car.

Tell them you want a check for the damages - you have the right to do that with any insurance company out there.

You only have the right to a check if you own the car outright. If you have a lien on the car, they will usually only give the check in the repair shop's name. Now if you can work something out with the shop you could be in luck. but most reputable shops are not willing to "deal" like that.

My 06 seats were 9k directly from honda, when my seats were stolen. I would have much rather picked up a used set for 1k and pocketed 8 k, but doesn't work that way when you have a loan.

Total damage came out to 14k for a new top and new seats including labor. Honda normally does not assemble the seats, they ship it to you in parts.

I am not sure whether 06 seats will fit in a Civic anymore, since 01 to 05 seats wont fit in an 06. Does anyone know?

I recommend the seat locks personally, and I do NOT recommend Progressive's way of fixing cars. My brother had a ton of problems when someone hit him.
