Hi,
I noticed that my car rattles when I shut down the engine. What's the problem? What should I do to avoid this rattling sound? Any one of you facing the same problem?

 

All S2000's are like that.

I have rattles you may not have, but the rattle on shut-down is one I do not have.

 

Are you serious? I thought it only required 91 minimum.

 

only requires 91 (which is a good thing for us in CA since that's all we can get now unless we step up to racing gas).

my new '02 does not rattle or shake when I shut it off. My '01 did shake a bit. I've been in quite a few other '01 and '00 cars that also shook when they were shut off. Not sure if that helped.

 

I think maybe it's a '00-'01 model thing. When I drove a '02, I noticed that when I turned it on and off, it didn't have the very noticeable ratttle that my car has. I kept on turning it on and off just cause I felt so deprived, lol. Maybe this is part of the more "refined" tranny?
