I used to have to use my car as a daily driver but I was lucky enough to save up a grand and pick up a 1994 Chevy Cavalier. I tried using it once with just an inch of snow on the ground there was no way this car was going to make it down the street. Maybe if I lived somewhere nice like Florida or San Diego I would want to drive it all the time.

 

if you have the money, just do what ever you want. don't have to listen to the wife when the money is yours. buying a beater's car doesnt mean you are cheating on them.

go ahead and buy it. when you s2k break down one day, you will need another car. always good to have a back up

 

If I lived there it would be my daily driver too.

 

My S2K is my daily driver unless we get snow. Then, I drive my SUV. But most of the times, I prefer driving my S2K.

 

my S is not my daily driver and i have a beater i drive daily. My situation is that my current apt doesn't have a garage so i keep it in storage about 10 miles away. Its a pain to drive over there to get the car if i want to drive it. Sure i have low miles but there are days when i am in my beater and i see an S2K, i wish i was in mine.

I wish i can drive my car more often.
