To answer the first question- your tach redlines at 9K so its a 2.0L. As for the second- its makes no sense they wouldn't call your car an AP2 as it has everything else we have other than the 2.2 engine right?

Look at your VIN. Many countries/markets still get the F20C in the later cars, even though they get all the other chassis and cosmetic upgrades. Best way to determine whether Honda considers the overall car an AP1 or AP2 is to check the VIN.

Either way, you probably have the original (F20C, etc.) driveline in the updated chassis. I'd be tempted to a car like yours as an AP1.5.

RED, his picture here shows the VIN has AP1 in it.

I never knew that--2008 AP1!

European models are still AP1... and yes, we do redline at 9000rpm

The rims under the car in the picture are also 2008 model, the VIN number also tells you... possibly AP1 number 75 of this MY.

And that would come as no surprice, since sales of the S2000 is almost 0 here in Europe... as far as I can see none were sold here in Holland this year, and over the last couple of years there were about 20/25 sold each year.

The 9-grand redline is the best indication of the F20c engine

The spark plug cover for the Ap2 is gold and for the ap1 is black but that could always be changed .
I don't think so. My cover is red.

I wish my 2.2 revved to 9k....

He meant the spark plug cover, not the valve cover.

All valve covers are red, but F20c has black spark plug cover and F22c has gold spark plug cover.
