My New 2004 S2000
I can't belive it I am picking up my new 2004 S2000 at the end of the week from Ganley Honda. I'm finding it hard to sleep, and I find myself just walking around with a huge grin all the time. I have wanted one ever since it came out in 2000, it's my dream car and now I will finally have one. I would get it sooner but I want Silverstone with the red/black interior and there were only like 3 of them in the surrounding 6 states. Wow I don't know if I'm gonna last the week.

HAHA....it seems all of us share these indicators of impatience while waiting for our new cars. I remember spending every waking hour on this forum, coupled with reading the Dan Carney book cover to cover twice before picking up my car.
The day of delivery was as exciting as ever. I pleaded with the Dealer Principal to allow me to pick up the car at 8AM, despite the dealership opening at 1000AM. I got maybe 5 hours of sleep, thoroughly studying the pre-delivery checklist the night before. The "meeting" between me and the S for the first time wasn't as special as I anticipated. I had seen pics of the car from every possible angle, and knew almost everything about it, yet had never driven one.
The drive home was one of trepidation, with this being my first drive in a car I really never believed I could afford. Could I? The first 1000KM were full of angst. How hard not to push that little motor way wayyy up there where it sings so sweetly.
I'm sure your experiences will be on par with mine. Drive safe, break her in gently, and best wishes for years of happy motoring!

Congrats! I know this will probably seem like the longest week of your life, but it will be worth it.
When I bought my Boxster, I ordered it in the beginning of March, and it was not in until June 26th. So I know how you feel about waiting, I was going out of my mind.
I think your getting a great color combo too. The dealer where I bought my S2000 had two in stock, and the one I test drove was Silver ( I don't remember if it was the Sebring or Silverstone) with the red/black leather. That was a cool looking car. However, the other car was Suzuka, and that's the one I fell in love with, and bought.
Good luck, and drive safe!
