ask about paying the policy for the full 6 months and see if it saves $$. I have mercury and pay every 6 months for 920 -if I paid monthly it would come out to what you are looking at which is apx 3000 a year plain n simple, shop around. 21st Century will give a good rate for the 1st 6 months then the rate will skyrocket FYI

I'm 20 with no tickets on my record, completely clean. I have a 4 year driving history, on my S I have full coverage by Infinity, and i'm paying $170 a month but with a $500 dollar deductible. When I was shopping around Progressive wanted 310 a month with the same deductible :sigh:

I am 23 with a ticket on my record still and I am only paying about 80 to insure my S. The company is Safeco, haven't had any issues with them yet. I would look into a insurance broker that deals with a bunch of different companies, this way they can make sure they get you the best price.
21 years old, 5 year driver, got my Ls when I was 16. No any traffic tickets what so ever except for 2 street cleaning ticket & 1 ticket for broken tail light on my rsx. I am insurance under my dad's name. We have two cars. a S2000 and a Corolla. I am "10%" driver and I am paying 280+ per month how is that happening? I also get 3.0 + GPA...
Also for my type S I was getting around 100$ per month with full coverage + 500 deductible

I'm 23 with zero tickets or accidents(Knock on wood), and I pay 151 from Geico. I originally had Unitrin and I was paying 219(kicking my ass). Before I found Unitrin, I received Multiple quotes around the 290 range. I also received this retarded quote from Liberty Mutual(State Minimums and 1k Deduc's). Just keep searching and you will find something good. Your location plays a big factor also. If I lived in Los angeles my insurance would be 90 bucks a month, but I just had to move to Vegas. SMH!

Location is a big factor. I'm 50 and pay about $30 a month with $500 deductible. It is my 3rd vehicle and i'm in North Carolina. NC insurance is cheap. NC Farm Bureau. It helps because my homeowners is also the same company.

Based on what? Gut feeling?
Typical unless you have other quotes that state otherwise.
Since you apparently didn't quote out insurance, have you priced out the maintenance, frequent tire changes, frequent alignments, etc as well?
^ This. See all prior insurance cost threads. What others pay doesn't really matter. As always with these threads: get some quotes.
