My god, my wife backed into my S2000!
#1
My dear wife, probably one of the world's most unconscious drivers and on another planet much of the time, backed into my S2000 this afternoon, putting a small dent in the waist- high character line just behind the passenger side door. Said she didn't see it (it's only been parked in the same spot near where she parks for the past three months!). I'm not normally a guy who has any gender bias of any kind, but this is enough to make me rethink the whole thing. Is this grounds for divorce ?
Given the damage others have suffered at the hands of foolish drivers, I suppose I don't have much to complain about. But ouch, it hurts!
So my baby goes into the shop on Monday or Tuesday. While it's there, I'm going to have the front license plate mounting holes filled in (good buy plugs), so maybe this is a blessing in disguise (she's going to pay for it -- well she's going to take the money I give her and pay for it .
BTW, I took apart my aeroscreen today (the whole assembly had come loose from my attempt to raise the top with screen folded back) and epoxied the whole thing together, putting an extra dose of the glue around the top of both ears. Once I get it on the car (tomorrow), I'll report back on whether this extra rigidity makes any difference.

Sorry, to hear that Rick. But I been there before and the only advise I can give you is to use it to your advantage.
Wife: "time to take out the trash"
You: "remember that time you backed into my car"

I feel your pain. My wife did the same thing to my MR2 several years ago only she took out the left front quarter panel got into the door as well. Hard to understand how someone can miss something as big as a car isn't it ......@#*%$@#&

Well, you know, she didn't see it -- it just jumped out right from behind a tree as she was backing up!
Yeah, how do you not see an entire car when you're backing up? Unless, of course, you're not looking.

Sorry to hear that Rick!
My wife has had both minor and major accidents with every Honda I have owned. Only a couple were her fault (I do not use these against her!) and more importantly, she was never injured.
Needless to say, she doesn't drive the S2000!
And my younger brother once backed his Chevy "Monster Truck" half way up my brand new Celica (under 500 miles) in MY own driveway. Over $4K in damage!!!

man that hurts!
can you really fill the plate holes? (no chance that you would ever have to use them?)- we can get tickets here for not having a front plate (red traffic light cameras need to see the plate)... of course many of us risk the ticket- but if we get caught, we have to install the plate and take it to the police station to show them that its fixed. then drive right home and take it off!!

Not all the states require front license plate. I live in Kentucky and here, you only need the rear one. Unfortunately I have plugs since I bought the car out of state. (Are they shipped from Japan without the holes???)
