Yeah, you will burn oil, and you need to watch that dipstick. Definitely don't overfill. Best bet is to add a little at a time and recheck often.

sweet ride. I hope to be in your position, but with a low-mile '02. Prices are seasonally low now. Good opportunity to finally get one.

Thanks for the input and encouragement, everyone!! I fully agree black is the better color...it forces you to keep it clean! Matt, thanks for the quick defense while I was at work.

So far I have not noticed any oil consumption, but I did change it at 600 miles and switched to Mobil 1 synthetic, so it'd be hard to really determine. I am nearing 1000 miles and I just checked the oil this morning and it had barely moved from where it was when I was through filling it. Just for everyone's information, I do VTEC the hell out of the thing whenever possible. The car seems to be pretty well put together.

Sweet ride man! I do have to agree on the prelude comments. I have an 2000 SH right now and am looking to trade up. I cannot beleive how much better the S2000 is in every category. One of the funny things for me too is that the S2000 is a lot more comfortable than my prelude. I don't know about you but I could never find the right seating postion in my lude. I was always slouching some how. Anyway...im a long time lurker but hope to be able to join this wonderful community some day soon.

Well, remember that the Prelude really *isn't* a sports car. Damn, I loved my '88 4WS, but it didn't compare to the S. Even the latest 'Ludes with VTEC are really a different design concept entirely than the S.

Nice, nice cars though!
