My experience with Kg/mm supersport springs
I am bored at work so I am gonna talk about this...
I hope this may help those who are looking for a low cost suspension mod with fantastic results.
I've installed these springs 7,000 miles ago and experience has been great.
I've had Nuespeeds (w/ Westend aggressive street alignment) before and I didn't like the extreme drop and the occasional scraping. They were great though at speeds above 100mph on straightaways because of the drop.
The S feels great and I like the way it handles so much I didn't bother realigning it.
Less inside tire wear as well.
IMO, the supersports give you a nice even drop and makes the S look clean.
Stock = 3.5-4 finger gaps Kgm = 2 finger gap all around
In terms of the handling, it is very neutral through the corners.
My rear end hardly ever steps out in quick turns (25-35mph).
I think stiffer springs put more stress on the tires making them work harder.
With S02's, no fear.
MY03 stock suspension was a bit twitchy, but it felt good because it was quick and nimble. These springs are almost twice as stiff as the OEM.
If you like a boat ride, these springs aren't for you.
I love the way the car drives at freeway speeds.
The springs and stock shocks work great together.
The response over bumps is very quick and there is never a front end dive.
The feel is very well planted.
And after 7000 miles, I don't feel any wear on the shocks.
The wheel gap is the same as the day I first put them on.
7000 miles isn't much so we'll see how they last.
I have a spare set so I don't worry too much.
Happy cruisin'
