My Dragon trip this past weekend...
I've had my S2000 for about 3 months now and I headed up to the Dragon this past weekend as it was my wife's fall break.
We drove through Atlanta and then went up 19 to 60 to 68 to the Cherahola Skyway and then on to the dragon.
It was the first time I really opened up the car and took on the road aggressively. Towards the Dragon end of the Cherahola Skyway there was a pack of motorcycles that I was hanging with. The lead guy took off in front of me and I pretty much kept up with him while his other buddies were way behind us. The Dragon itself was LOTS of fun! My wife said it reminded her of a roller coaster as if we were on rails or something. She did get a little queasy as we got toward the end of the Dragon, but she was fine once we were off.
I saw a few S2000's up there. I saw a Silverstone on the Cherohala Skyway on Friday and a few more in the Great Smoky Mountains Natl. Park over the weekend.
The S2000 did great and I didn't hear the tires chirp at all. There is no way my old GS-R could have handled like the S2k did! LOTS of fun and I will definitely try to make at least one of the trips next year! Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Did you stay at that cabin? Man, the colors are finally changing on the leaves. I wish the fall Dragon was held when the leaves actually change on the Dragon. I may have to not go with the group next fall and go two weeks later to enjoy the leaves changing. We don't get any color down here in Florida, and I'd like to see some.

Yeah, we rented the cabin over the weekend. It was actually part of a B&B setup near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The leaves were near their peak colors, so it was pretty nice.
Up in Tallahassee, FL, we get slight color changes, but not much.
I think the Dragon Run group tries to avoid the tourists in October by going in September?

Wow! The mountainside pic looks stunning . There's a lot to be said for seeing The Dragon in all its emerald glory...but MAN ...the palette is at full tilt out there right now with the changing of the leaves
Glad you had a great vacation
