My DIY brake cooling ducts
Back in November, my local club www.s2katlanta.com did a brake cooling duct tech day. It's been shown that these ducts lower your rotor temperatures by 100 degrees F under track conditions. I did it to help cool the rotors during turbo brake boosting. I just thought I'd post some pictures of some of the fun. Keep in mind, that this would be a GREAT option modified to be a ram air CAI!!!
Stuff for the install. The tubes are high temp tubes good for 350 degrees. There are 600 degree ones available but they are orange and that would look silly.
Our fearless club president Joe, using a hole saw to cut into the rotor shield.
Neat looking. We used a rivet gun to keep that badboy in place. The entire install was very clean.
Notice the damage on my (red) car (from a hit and run)! This is why one of you NFR rear bumper owners needs to sell me your bumper! My wheels are HOT though!
I just took this shot now in my driveway, sorry but it's dark outside.
I have vents to cover these, but I don't go outside for "fun" unless it's over 70 degrees

That doesn't look like a simple bumper replacement. Looks like a rear quarter panel to me, which is one of the worst body damages possible.
Nice install. Very clean.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I can't remember the site, but I'll find out and post for you.

Dude, my car got a hit and run in that exact same spot about 6 months ago. Looked exactly like yours except it was on the driver's side. The pulled the corner of the quarter panel back out no problem. I thought the whole panel might have to be replaced, but they said it was an easy fix. Actually, it's better than stock because the crappy bumper corner taillight fit issue is perfect now on that side where they reworked it. It was $2000 though.
