I could park the Accord in the driveway or on the street but I really don't want it sitting outside all the time (baking under the sun, getting rained on, etc). I know, it sounds funny worrying about a 14+ year old car like that but the car is in excellent condition. The paint isn't oxidized, the interior isn't faded or discolored, there aren't any fluid leaks, and the engine doesn't burn a drop of oil. This car looks better than some 5-year old cars I've seen.

I drove the Stook to work this morning and realized that I must have been out of my mind to even consider trading it in. Shame on me. I'm keeping it. It makes me do this........

I picked up a new 2001 M3 April 7th after waiting almost a year and a half. Although it was a fun car to drive, I don't regret selling it 2 months later and by the way making a nice $5,000. profit. I then went out and bought a s2000 and have never looked back. The s2000 is so much more of a rush to drive, and fo the money alot more bang for the buck!!!!!!

Question is....isn't the M3 also going to be a "fair weather" car like the S2K? If so, can your family manage with one less vehicle? If the answer to the last question is yes, I would trade in my S2000 for the new M3 if my finances allowed me to No questions there.

Tough call...the M3 is incredible, mucho fun to drive, w/ all kinds of luxuries/neat touches inside. Like the S2K, it seems like a car I could keep forever and not get tired of. Nevertheless, I don't think it delivers as much pure driving pleasure due to its weight, long shifter throws, and greater understeer.

I'd be extremely happy w/ either car, but I bought my Tundra for the price difference - that made my decision so much easier, since neither the S2K or M3 would be very good for hauling motorcycles and mountain bikes.

Although I haven't driven an M3 yet, I'm probably pretty safe in saying that the S2000 does provide more of a rush (adrenaline-wise and emotional).

The M3 wouldn't be just a "fair weather" car. I bought the S2000 strictly as a toy (it's the 3rd car in a family that's just myself and my wife) and want to keep it in near perfect condition. The M3, although much more expensive, would be a daily commuter.

Our family car and general workhorse is a Grand Cherokee. We'd keep that so between that and the M3, we'd be fine.

Depending upon where you live, my advice would be to build or buy a storage shed for the lawn equipment, buy the M3, and have 3 spectacular cars. Sounds easy enough...but would the wife go for it???

WOW! What a dilema!

Are you really going to listen to what we have to say? You know we all love our S2000's!

IMO, you can not accurately compare the S2000 to a BMW M3! It's a whole different ball game!

I tell you. . .I have had lots of cars and I've never been as happy with a car until my S2000!

If your wife really wants you to get an M3, then do that. . .

Go ahead, before you trade and buy plenty of snooty BMW clothes for the fairway! HeHe

Just kidding. . .
