For a test, call them and tell them you have $5K worth of stereo work, $5K worth of engine work, and another $5K in other performance parts...let me know what they say. Don't actually do this, because they can drop you from your current policy! I was dropped because I had too much stereo equipment in the car, they didn't even know about the other stuff. $1,500 for stereo equipment is the average that insurance will cover, if you get $3K covered then cool. I'll give $200 for any person that can get my car with it's mods covered. I spent 2 months looking.

I hope you make it into SportCompactCar. I think that magazine offers too little coverage of the S2000, and I've always wondered why. Is it because they think the car is too expensive for their typical audience?
