For those planning on a custom exhaust Mugen recommends (on the ECU instructions) a pipe with a diameter of around 2.30.
We used to have this same setup on our race car (generic N1 muffler with 2.5-inch pipes) and once we changed to the J's Racing N1 cat-back system the car responds much better in the lower revs. Of course the J's N1 diameter matches Mugen specs pretty close. Mugen also states how long the muffler and complete system should be.
BTW, Why did you place the muffler on the driver side? The route is longer with more curves on the pipes.
