You have to hit the disarm twice (I think) or it will do that.

maybe that's what i am doing different. i usually hit it twice to unlock the passenger door too but lately i have gone for the one click thinking it wasn't necessary because i was driving alone. i'll change the battery just in case but i will also go back to the two click method.

There is a stock alarm? Was this an option? How do you know if you have it?

i belive the factory alarm is under the driver seat. if its bad u can just unplug it and your keyless entry will still work. but i am pretty sure there's a hood protection switch it might come loose and set off the alarm.
