My 05 Rio s2000 with Comptech Exhaust
#12
Nice! Hottest exhaust out there
I have the Spugen but i wouldve got Comptech had they not been on backorder at the time i tried to order. That will be my next exhaust.
I also dont car for those ricey exhausts, and those single exit exhausts look ridiculous on a S. Or how about the ones that point up and outward?

ok just measured the exhaust and yes it's a perfect 4" diameter
When I first got the car I was also thinking the MY 04/05 rear would look better with an oval but this Comptech actually fills the opening quite nicely. The round tips are very robust and since it's round, it actually shows off the polished muffer cans better! The sound really turns head but in a sporty good way, not an annoying sound.
I'm in love with this exhaust now
Yeah for 80% of us that don't care about a 5hp gain using some crazy loud single exit exhaust, I would say the Comptech fits your needs perfectly.
I know some do it for power gains but my 2 cents is that an s2000 looks ugly with a single pipe sticking out one side. Unless you are a true race car I'd pass - save that stuff for Supra's that really do make 500+hp.
FTwenty2C: Does Comptech advertise how much gain can be from their headers?
btw, the half hour labor time listed is ridiculous unless you have access to a full lift and trying to do it as fast as possible. Any normal guy in their garage using jacks will take you at least 1 hour...I took my time so 2 hours to ensure everything was torqued to spec

Copied the following info from Comptech's website. They are 4" tips.
Two-piece 304 Stainless Steel cat-back
3hp gain at the wheels
Sounds like a real sports car should!

Old comptech has 3.5" tips, and they fit on the AP2 too.

Are you sure of that? Do you know someone with one? I was under the impression that the hangers were in the wrong place for an AP2.
