my 04 topped out at 156 :(

it's the shorter redline....the gearing is actually 6% taller in 6th in the MY04...

I-695 there is a long downhill strech going east coming up on exit 29.

you also gotta keep in mind it's somewhat drag limited....

Well the climb to top speed would be drag limited and all but with the SC i had no problem getting to 156, just that when i got there it stopped.

I remember when i first got the 00, 5th would end at about 130. Then after a year or so 5th started going all the way to 138. Maybe it can somehow "strecht" or something.

did you have your top down????

cause i've taken my car to 150mph with the top down and it was still pulling pretty hard.... and this was when i was 100% stock

and technically the drag will limit the top speed to around 152mph or so.... but this will vary if you're going down hill up hill, air temp, wind yada yada... so your 156 sounds about right.....
